What is bentonite

BENTONITE IS:

  • a clay material, consisting of a mixture of montmorillonite (the main component) and other substances. The sodium type of bentonite is the highest quality.

KEY PROPERTIES: 

  • swelling (the ability to absorb water), 
  • adsorption properties (the ability to absorb substances from a liquid),
  • colloidal properties (the ability to be suspended in other substances).
    These properties make bentonite a unique material for many fields of application.

Open-pit quarry mining

TRANSPORT TO AKZHAR VILLAGE

For further processing, the clay is delivered by road to Akzhar village (24 km)

The clay is milled into powder on crushing equipment
